If we could give this place six stars, we would. El Rancho was easily the classiest and most romantic restaurant we visited in Gran Canaria — a true highlight of our honeymoon. The moment you walk down the steps into the dining area, you feel transported somewhere elegant yet warm. The décor, the lighting, even the carved wooden menu covers all whisper quality. It’s quiet, relaxed, and beautifully kept — spotless, comfortable, and effortlessly stylish. We dined here twice, both times after 9 p.m., when the evening rush had eased, and every visit felt like a private occasion. The service was flawless — our waiter had that perfect “Alfred from Batman” charm: professional, witty, and attentive without ever hovering. The food? Outstanding. We started with wings, followed by a rack of ribs that fell clean off the bone, served with perfectly crisp chips. Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The desserts were just as memorable — rich, well-presented, and the ideal finish. Prices are a touch higher than average, but for the standard you get, it’s worth every cent. To top it all off, each meal ended with a complimentary shot of local honey rum — the perfect sweet ending to an already perfect evening. Came here as a treat meal for the last night of the holiday and it did not disappoint. The menu has a good choice of traditional Steakhouse and Tex Mex with some Spanish dishes. I went for the Pan Catalan and the Argentine Fillet Steak, both were delicious with the portions very generous. The starter could have been a lunch option in itself. I used to go to an Argentine restaurant in London South Kensington when I worked there and would say the steaks here are of comparable quality, right down to the rosemary marinade. Service is very friendly and attentive and I would definitely come back when I'm next in GC.

Just had a meal as a big group. Food was fantastic. Had starters, main and desert, along with a few bottles of wine. Came in good time and cooked to perfection! Can't recommend this place enough. 5*

Ate here with my son last night. We both had the Argentinian Fillet Steak. It was cooked to perfection and very tasty. Staff were friendly and attentive. You get what you pay for and it was well worth the money. Highly recommended.
